I am a mother of four, I have 3 boys and 1 girl. Our 2 younger boys struggle with a speech delay that we are working on. With that being said, things can get a bit chaotic around here and frustration levels rise. Living and learning with these boys and the speech delays has taught me patience and a whole new understanding that people see things in so many different ways. I am a stronger person because of this and feel blessed to have these little angels. I am married to a fabulous man and am living a happy life!

KORN

Austin went to his first concert..KORN.  A couple of months ago Austin told us that he heard on the radio that the tickets were going on sale for Korn, so we went and bought 3 of them.  Austin has been so excited, waiting for this day to come!
The day of the concert, Vinnie got a call from a friend of his who works with the promoters that brought Korn up here.  The bass player, Fieldy was wanting to get a tattoo while he was up here and wanted it done by Vinnie that day.  Vinnie shuffled some appointments around and was able to get Fieldy in.  I took Austin down to the shop so he could meet Fieldy and get some picutres with him.

While Vinnie was tattooing Fieldy, he was told that we would be "hooked up" for the concert.  That night when we arrived at the concert, Vinnie called his friend and they came down to a security door on the side of the building and let us in.  We avoided all lines and went straight to the front of the line for the meet and greet.  After the meet and greet we were able to go back by their dressing rooms and hang out until the concert started.  The lead singer of Korn; Jonathan Davis, does not like to have his picture taken and is super super shy.  During the meet and greet everyone was told absolutely no pictures, no cameras, no cell phones..period!  Well, while we were hanging out waiting for the concert to begin, Jonathan walked up to Austin and put his arm around him and said, "hurry, who has a camera?".  We hurry and pulled out the camera and got a picture.

Here are some more pictures of us with the drummer, Ray and another one with Fieldy.

When it was time for the band to go out on stage, we walked out with them and then went to the side of the stage and watched the concert from there.  I was so relieved that we were on the side of the stage because the concert was general admission and it looked like it was one big mosh pit, bodies being thrown everywhere, people getting smashed, etc...

Fieldy wore a Rebirth Tattoo shirt for part of the concert, that was really fun to see!  After the concert they gave Austin the guitar pick from Fieldy and he got 2 drumsticks from Ray.  One of them was used during the concert and the other was brand new.
It was so fun to watch Austin enjoy his first concert!

All my Kids at 4 months old...

From oldest to youngest....Austin, Gabe, Sebastian, & Abby.
Sebastian would scratch his head when falling asleep and Abby does the same thing.

Austin's Science Project

Collapsing of the Bridges

Austin built 2 different bridges.  One made of popsicle sticks and another made of toothpicks.  He was testing to see which one would be stronger and could hold the most weight using matchbox cars.  After he built the bridges he slowly added matchbox cars on them until the bridge support broke.  The popsicle stick bridge broke, the toothpick bridge didn't break but he couldn't fit any more cars on it.

The toothpick bridge proved to be the stronger bridge of the two, holding more matchbox cars than the popsicle bridge.
He got an A on his project.

Abby gets an Exersaucer...

Abby likes Loves to be held!  It gets a little tiring hold her all day long, not to mention that I can't get anything done.  She has a bumbo seat, her bouncy seat, her swing, and of course the floor.  She doesn't seem to stay in any of them for very long.  So, I decided that maybe she would enjoy the exersaucer.  Austin had one when he was a baby and he really enjoyed it.  Gabe and Sebastian didn't ever have one, they did great in their bouncy seat and on the floor.  When they got big enough they used a jumparoo and loved it.  So far, she is liking the exersaucer and I can actually get some stuff done using both of my arms..  :)

Basement Remodel begins...

I am so excited about getting this basement done.  I have wanted it done since the house was built in 1999.  It is a must now to have it finished!  There are only 3 rooms upstairs, mine & Vinnie's, Abby's, and Gabe & Sebastian will be sharing a room.  With that being said, Austin needs a space, so now the basement is finally getting done.  He is excited to have his own space.  There will be 2 rooms, 1 bathroom and the laundry room down there.  Here are some before pictures...

Update on the kiddos....

Let's begin with Austin, poor guy!  The other night he was sitting on the kitchen counter in the corner above a lazy susan cabinet.  He was told to get off of the counter, he turned and got ready to hop off and his foot hit the cabinet and pushed the lazy susan open while he was hopping down and he landed on top of the cabinet door straddling it.  His tailbone is now bruised and he can barely walk.  He is in so much pain, what a great way to spend your spring break, atleast he doesn't have to sit in school all day, now he can just lay around at home while it heals.
Gabe is Gabe!  He cracks me up, he is always learning new things and saying something new all the time.  The other morning I got him up and then he went in Sebastian's room to wake him and but Sebastian got up and left the room immediately, Gabe suddenly yelled "Where are you going? Come back!"  So cute!  He also loves to say "That's so exciting".  He had his 4 year check up the other day.  He weighs 45.6 lbs which  puts him in the 95 percentile for weight.  He is 41 3/4 inches tall which puts him in the 75 percentile for height.  He is a BIG boy!  He had to get 4 shots, 2 in each thigh.  He did pretty well, just screamed while getting the shots and then was fine as soon as they were done.  Doctor says he is a healthy boy and looks good.  He told us not to worry too much just yet about the potty training, stick with it and he will get it.  He said "yes, most kids understand the potty by this age but is it a delay if they don't, no."  Well that was a little bit of relief that it isn't a delay but I still wish he was potty trained.  He's getting closer though, he has gone potty just a few times in the toilet, but now that he is home from school all next week because of spring break maybe (crossing fingers) we can win this battle.
Now Sebastian, that crazy guy!  He is doing well, we have been working on his feeding issues and I am very happy to report that things are going so well!  We cut him off of his cookies a few days ago and I refuse to buy anymore!  He has been eating 3 meals a day and is now asking me for food instead of just cookies.  Every time that he would ask for a cookie I would just offer him something else instead.  Well I think he is figuring this hunger thing out.  He has been enjoying spaghettios for dinner the last couple of nights, still having peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch, and for breakfast he has been eating french toast.  This may sound like little stuff to others but here, these are HUGE milestones.  He actually went to bed last night without a bottle of milk for the 1st time ever, he must have been full.  I am so excited for him!
Abby is just as cute as could be.  She loves to talk and I think she is learning screaming from her brothers.  She can squeal like you wouldn't believe, they are happy screams though which is good.  She is getting so big, so fast!  I want it to slow down just a bit, especially since she is my last baby.
I love being a Mom!
