I am a mother of four, I have 3 boys and 1 girl. Our 2 younger boys struggle with a speech delay that we are working on. With that being said, things can get a bit chaotic around here and frustration levels rise. Living and learning with these boys and the speech delays has taught me patience and a whole new understanding that people see things in so many different ways. I am a stronger person because of this and feel blessed to have these little angels. I am married to a fabulous man and am living a happy life!

Trick or Treating bust!

The Utah Olympic Oval sent out a flyer advertising that they were having a Halloween Haunted Tunnel, trick or treating, and rollerskating from 7:00-10:00 on Saturday night the 29th.  We thought this would be so fun to take the kids to.  We got them all dressed up in their costumes only to find out that they cancelled trick or treating because the vendors didn't show up to pass out candy.  What a bummer!
Here are some pictures of them ready to go!

Abby was dressed up as a cute little fairy.  She has wings to go with her outfit but because it was a little chilly she was wearing her hoody.
Fortunately the kiddos were tired and didn't seem to be to bothered that we didn't get to trick or treat and just came home.  In fact, Sebastian fell asleep in the car on the way home.

Cornbelly's Corn Maze & Pumpkin Festival

Some good friends of ours called us and said that they were coming to Utah for the Halloween weekend and they wanted to get together.  We decided to go to Thanksgiving Point and go to the Cornbelly's Corn Maze & Pumpkin Festival.  Poor Vinnie, he worked all day Thursday and then flew home on the redeye.  We picked him up from the airport at 7:30 am, came home and got ready to go for the entire day.  He was one tired Daddyo!
This place was so cute and so many things for the kids to do!  There were so many different wooden fixtures/playhouses for kids to play on.
They really had fun with the duck races.
While we were waiting for Heide, Elisabeth, & Lille to get there we decided to sit down and watch the Chicken Show.  They were entertained for a little while with the joke telling chickens and then they were ready to move on.
After the Chicken Show, Sebastian spotted a train and went running...
They loved playing on this.  Then they spotted some bouncy horses to go and ride...

They absolutely loved this!  The only bad thing about it was out of the 3 horses they had, 2 of them were flat!  They struggled bouncing around while trying to hold up the deflated horses head.  Major bummer, but they did well taking turns and had so much fun, especially Sebastian!
Next to the horse coral was a wooden castle with a slide and different kinds of swings, they enjoyed this for quite a while.
Abby was all over this thing, climbing everywhere like a pro!
After this they found a bounce house.
They had a really cute stage set up for kids to go and perform however they wanted.  There was Disney music playing and costumes for the kids to dress up in.  Below is a picture of Abby in the Costume Cottage picking out her costume.

and then of course there was a fairytale princess horse & carriage.

Of course Mom and Dad had to get in a fun picture too:
There were 2 different hayrides to go on.  One was pulled by a big tractor which was towing a huge trailer filled with bails of hay and had plenty of room for a lot of people to ride.  It was quite the bumpy ride.  While we were on this hayride we noticed a cute this train/hayride going thru the cornstalks with fun little Halloween decorations set up throughout the corn.  We rode both of them and the kids were smiling from ear to ear.

While we were waiting in line for the second hayride we noticed this really cool "trampoline" made out of bails of hay that the kids had fun jumping on.

They also had a very cool "spider web" for the kids to climb on..
Then we found a cool Pirate ship to climb on..(even Dad)

more bounce houses....
Lillie took Abby down the slide and she LOVED it!  It looked so fun that I wanted to take Abby down the slide too...
Time to call it a day!  Everyone was worn out.  We had a fun day!  This is something we will definitely be doing again next year.  We didn't even get to do everything.

Lagoon Frightmares!

I got a text message from my Mom early Sunday morning saying that we should take the kids to do something today outside because the weather was going to be really nice.  We decided to take them to Lagoon.  We haven't been there at all this year and we are running out of time before they close for the season, so we were really excited.  The only thing missing was Daddyo, he was working in Alaska :(
On our way to Lagoon we got a call from my Aunt Mindi saying they were coming to Lagoon too.  Austin was so excited because this meant that he could go and play on the big rides with his Uncle Mark and his cousin's Chandler and Noah.

The kids were really excited, to help them understand where we were going I just kept asking them if they wanted to go ride the roller coaster so that was our 1st ride.  We went on Bombora.  Abby was 3 inches too short so she wasn't able to go but the boys loved it!  Gabe was a little nervous at first, he kept saying "oh no, oh no" on all of the turns but by the end he was smiling and loving it.  Next, Austin and I took the boys on the Jumping Dragon.

This is Abby's first time riding the rides at Lagoon because last year she was just a baby.  She is 33 inches tall now and can ride most of the kiddie rides.  First, Bulgy the Whale..
She just sat there mellow and took it all in!
She really really loved the spaceship ride,
the planes,

and of course the boats!  She and Sebastian kept fighting over who got to ring the bell.
Gabe is almost 47 inches tall and you can't be more than 46 inches to ride the boats but the ride attendant let him go one more time.

Of course they loved to drive the cars, what kid doesn't right?

Austin took Sebastian on the Dino Drop while Gabe & Abby went on the Spaceship a few more times.

While we were walking around from ride to ride we ran into some nice witches..
Austin didn't really care to get in the picture with the witches, silly kid!  He was patiently waiting for Mark, Mindi, Chand, & Noah to get there.

We headed over to Puff the Magic Dragon roller coaster.  Poor Austin, he was not too thrilled to go on anymore kiddie rides!

So after Puff Austin talked me into taking the boys on a big ride, The Tidal Wave!  They all loved it!

Mark & Mindi got there shortly after and off he went to the bigger rides and we went to the train...

They had a little "Scarecrow Maze" set up for the kiddie's to walk thru.

We stayed pretty much the entire day.  We got there just after 11:00 (that's when they opened) and left around 7:30 (they close at 8:00).  They were pooped by the time we left.  Both Abby & Sebastian fell asleep in the car.  Gabe was hanging in there until we got home.
